Biography

He was the son of Sir William Courtenay, 1st Bt. and Margaret Waller. ^[1]He was baptised on the 27th of Feb. 1652.^[2]On the 26th of Nov 1670 he married by settlement 4,000 pounds Mary Boevey daughter of William Boevey, merchant, of Little Chelsea, Middlesex.^[2]He was elected as a Member of Parliament four times.^[2]He died on the 1st of Apr 1699 and was buried at Chelsea.^[2][1]
