He was the son of Sir William Courtenay, 1st Bt. and Margaret Waller. [1]He was baptised on the 27th of Feb. 1652.[2]On the 26th of Nov 1670 he married by settlement 4,000 pounds Mary Boevey daughter of William Boevey, merchant, of Little Chelsea, Middlesex.[2]He was elected as a Member of Parliament four times.[2]He died on the 1st of Apr 1699 and was buried at Chelsea.[2][1]
