Biography

Ada Rose Cowper was born on 30th July 1863 in Tenterfield, New South Wales (Australia). She was the fourth and youngest daughter of Thomas Cowper and Eliza Small. [1] She was a great granddaughter of First Fleet convicts, John Small (1761-1850) and Mary Parker (c1758-1824), Second Fleeter George Patfield (1763-1809), and 1793 convict arrival, Mary O'Brien (c1772-1853).

Ada married Alfred Greentree on 9th April 1898 in Maclean, New South Wales. [2]

"Attempting to alight from a moving train at Central Station on the evening of January 9, Mrs. Ada Rose Greentree, aged 59 years, of Penshurst-street, Willoughby, fell on her face, striking her head on the platform. She died in Sydney Hospital on the following morning from a fracture of the skull."[3] She passed away, aged 59 years, on 10th January 1928 in Sydney Hospital, New South Wales and was buried in Woronora Cemetery, Sutherland, New South Wales. [4]
