DEATH of JOHN CROUCH and Parentage of Sarah Louanna Crouch
At some point between October 1851 and July 1852 John Crouch died. Because he is missing from the 1850 census he has been presumed dead before Sept of 1850, causing speculation that Sarah Louanna Crouch, born in July of 1852, was not his child. However, the 1850 census includes inaccuracies which make one suspect that the information may have been provided by a neighbour. Lavina is listed as male, and five-year-old Kizziar is missed entirely. Now, Triangulation of DNA matches between Sarah Louanna's descendants and descendants of her sister Kizziar prove that both were daughters of both John Crouch and Lavina Cox Crouch.
