Death of Mr. Norman Cox.
The whole district sympathises most sincerely and deeply with Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Cox, in the heavy sorrow which has just fallen upon them. At an early hour on Monday morning their son, Mr. Norman Anderson Cox, passed away. The sad event was not unlooked for, the deceased having been in failing health for some years, and of late his relatives and friends were but too conscious that recovery was hopeless and that death might be expected at any hour. The deceased, who was 32 years of age, was for some time in the Bank of New South Wales at Parramatta, but more recently occupied a position in the bank at Cootamundra, and it was there that a few months ago he was seized with severe hemorrhage, in consequence of which his mother hurried from her Carlingford home to watch by his bedside. Upon his rallying to some extent it was deemed advisable to bring him to Carlingford, and there, despite the skilled ministrations of Dr. Bowman, he gradually grew weaker and weaker until the end came. The grief of the bereaved parents, in which everyone shares, was especially pathetic inasmuch as they had previously lost two sons and one daughter. Mr. Norman Cox was a gentleman of the most amiable character, and he was extremely popular for his genial good fellowship and kindly heart. The funeral took place yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon at the Carlingford Cemetery.
