Research on some of our lines that were inter-married this was authored by Judy Milum in 2013 and may not reflect additions and corrections since that time:

Charles, and Chuck, This is research that Judy Milum posted earlier today. I thought it might interest you per our common lines. James Fewell living in the Home of Aaron and Martha Davis---1880 James Fewell, Living in the Home of Aaron Davis, in Marion County, Arkansas---1880

Listed in the household of Aaron and Martha Denney Davis, at the time of the 1880 Federal Census, there was a James Fewell. He is listed as a farm laborer. He was the brother of Nancy Jane Fewell (1841-1912); Sarah Fewell (1844-1937), and Susan Fewell, born 1846. The Fewell family had close ties to the Boren and Standlee families. These individuals were the children of William Fewell, born 1813, Ohio, and died 1880, Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Their mother was Margaret Bullum Fewell, born 1823, Arkansas.

Nancy [Jane] Fewell married Stephen Boren, grandson of James Boren and Ruth Hargis Boren. [I do not know at the time of this writing who Stephen's parents were.] Stephen served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He and Nancy Jane are buried at Old Union (Bunch) Cemetery, Berryville, Carroll, Arkansas. Stephen's grandfather, James Boren, was a brother to Isaac Boren, Sr., Susan Boren (Mrs. John) Standlee, Catherine Boren (Mrs. David) Standlee, and Levi Boren. (James, Isaac Sr., Susan, Catherine, and Levi were the children of William Boren.) James Boren was living in Carroll County Arkansas near his Boren and Standlee relatives at the time of the 1840 Federal Census; however, he and Ruth settled and raised their family in Madison County, Arkansas. (The other Stephen Boren buried at this cemetery was a son of Isaac Boren, Sr. and Elizabeth Standlee Boren; he was married to Barbara High and no military records have been found that apply to him.)

Sarah Fewell was the first wife of Isaac Crabaugh. They had four children together. After their divorce, Isaac married Nancy Malinda Hart; Isaac and Malinda had 6 children together. After Isaac and Sarah's divorce, Sarah lived with her children, eventually moving to Oklahoma. Isaac Crabaugh was the son of Charles Crabaugh and Hannah Standlee. This Hannah Standlee was the daughter of John Standlee and Susan Boren Standlee.

Susan Fewell married Thomas Benton Boren. This marriage shows that the families of William Boren and brother John Boren (sons of Charles Boren, b. abt. 1721, and Mary Brashears Boren) stayed in contact. Thomas Benton Boren was born abt. 1850 in Arkansas; he died in 1933, at Springdale, Arkansas. He was the son of E. P. (Enos Preston) Boren, b. 1825, TN, and Millie Holeman. Enos Preston Boren was the son of a Stephen Boren, who was born in 1800, in Tennessee (most likely Robertson County), and who died in St. Augustine, Texas. This Stephen Boren was the son of John B. Boren, Jr. of Pendleton, South Carolina, who eventually settled in Sumner County, Tennessee, and who was married to Sarah Bush. John B. Boren Jr. was the son of John B. Boren, b. 1748 North Carolina; died in Sumner, Tennessee, and John B. Boren's wife Sarah Alley (1746, Orange, NC---1820, Sumner, Tennessee). John B. Boren Sr. was a son of Charles Boren and Mary Brashears Boren. William Boren, father of the Carroll County Borens, and Bazel Boren, husband of Susannah Bryan(t) were brothers of John B. Boren, Sr.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Isaac by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Isaac:
