“Final Tribute Paid
Mrs. J.W. Brown
Mrs. James W. Brown, 69 years old, died Sunday night at 8:30 at her home in Gaines district following a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday after- noon at 2:30 in Rock Branch church by the Rev. J. C. West, and burial was in the churchyard. The Elberton Department Store funeral directors, had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Paul Brown, Greenville, S. C.; Mrs. B. E. Craft, Mrs. Bill Wood, Leonard Brown, all of Elbert county; Mrs. Herbert Johnson, Middleton; Mrs. Bart Evans, Hartwell; James Brown, Anderson, S. C. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren”
