Biography

Thomas Cragg was born in Muston, Leicestershire. He was the son of Thomas Cragg and Catherine Birch. Thomas was christened in Muston on 18 March 1770.^[1][2]

He married firstly Mary Yalding on 27 June 1791 in Muston.^[3][4][5]

Thomas and Mary had four sons and two daughters:

1. Thomas Cragg died young
2. Robert Cragg died young
3. Ann Cragg died young
4. Catherine Cragg died young
5. John Cragg m Mary Bray
6. Robert Cragg died young

His wife Mary died in 1802.

He married secondly Ann Minta, the widow of Joseph Franks, on 28 November 1803 in Muston.^[6][7][8]

Thomas and Ann had one son and four daughters:

1. Catherine Cragg m Teasdale Whitfield
2. Robert Cragg m Mary Wadeson
3. Sarah Cragg
4. Mary Cragg
5. Jane Cragg

Thomas Cragg died on 6 March 1825 in Muston. He was buried on 9 March at St John the Baptist Churchyard, Muston.^[9][10]
