This is another sibling that moved to OK and whose descendants moved to CA. This relative visited us in Angelina County.
One of the children brought the ashes of her mother upon request to put with the graves of her mother here in Angelina Co, TX at the Poskey Cemetery

Why were they buried in Poskey Cem when there is a Crawford Cem on what was Thomas Crawford's land? The answer I discovered was simple. He sold the land to the Poskeys and later the Crawford established their own. So that is why Thomas and his wife are buried on the picture below.
Two, we discussed who cared for the cem as it is located on private land. There is a fence and you can tell it has been tended to. There was discussion also on another member on the site which Della and I disagreed with another far away member of the family but I won't discuss that.
I wonder since this situation came up how many others like that has happened. You'd think that the people who lived local with have more or updated information that someone living states away. Della and I both try to view others point of views and have investigated our data, my search stated in 1970. I feel that there are all kinds of possiblities that happen that we will never know of, no data to back it up, and it is so sad to know that individuals are so selfish in the dispersement and/or exchange of data with our own family. My parents and Della's taught us that blood is thicker than water and family may fight one with another but family will always stand with family.
These early pioneers coming into Texas, known then as Tejas and a portion of Mexico, not the US faced many hardships, knew they'd most likely never see their loveones again but ventured forth. To me that is bravery beyound all things. Leaving home and family takes a lot of courage and a lot of faith.
