Thomas was born in 1736. He is the son of William Creasy and Mary Woodson. At the time of his birth, his father owned land in Goochland County, Virginia.[1]
Albemarle County was formed from the counties of Goochland and Louisa in 1744. The counties of Bedford (created 1753), Buckingham (created 1758), and Fluvanna (created 1777) were all formed from Albemarle.
The family was documented in Albemarle County, Virginia when, on the 20th day of October 1761, Thomas and his brother each sold 100 acres of land on the South fork of Racoon Creek being the land that was conveyed from the said William Creasey to John and Thomas.[2]
Thomas moved to Bedford County where he purchased 200 acres of land from William Haynes and Elisabeth his wife on the 23rd day of September 1771 recorded as lying in Bedford on Branch on Haynes Spring, and bounded on Eccol's, Haynes' and Randolph's lands, being part of a tract of 295 acres granted to William Haynes in 1759.[3]
Thomas "Creesey" of Bedford County, Virginia set his hand and affixed his seal to his Last Will and Testament on the ___ day of June 1799 making special bequests unto:
John Carter, Tenazier Otey, Archibald Pullen were witnesses. The will was recorded on the 25th of July 1803, and on that day Michael Graham qualified as Executor.[4]
He passed away before the 25th of July 1803.[4]
