Biography
Herman was born in 1826. He was the son of Andrew Creveling and Rebecca Waters. He passed away in 1889. Civil War vet, drafted in 1863. Farmer, merchant with Richart Limestone business and butcher. Elected Justice of Peace in 1865 for 22 years, titled Esquire. Sec, Susquehanna Manufacturing Co, Espy in 1887. Member, Saint Johns Evan Lutheran Ch, Col Co. Resided in Espy. Both buried in Creveling cemetery, Almedia, PA. After death of Louisa, married to Mrs Catherine (Ruckle) Everett, who resided with son, Clinton, in E Scott Twp, Col Co, in 1910. She had 5 childre, 2 living in 1900, at least one a Creveling.
