Stanley was born on the 17th June 1907 in Devonport, Devon ^[1]. He was the son of Francis Jospeh Crimp and Emma Jane Marshall. He grew up with his parents in Devonport ^[2][3].

Stanley married Frances Eileen M Rickard in about August 1934 in St. Mark, Ford, Devonport, Devon. ^[4][5]. He was aged 27 years 2 months. They apparently had no children.

Stanley died on the 30th August 1989 in Devonport. He was aged 82 years 2 months. ^[6]. His will was granted probate on the 14th November 1989 in Bristol, Gloucestershire. ^[7]. He left an estate not exceeding £100,000.
