Military Service
Private in Company A of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry regiment, the first regiment in the United States made up entirely of enlisted men of color. He was 21 years old, single and working as a laborer when he enlisted on 14 August 1864 in Bristol, Vermont. Mustered out 20 August 1865 with his regiment.
His brother Silas Crosier served in Company K.

He passed away in 1879 in Bristol[1] and is buried at Briggs Hill Cemetery in Bristol, Vermont.
