Biography

Johan was born in 1695. He was the son of Johann Crössman and Anna Hübner. He first came to America in 1718 and in 1727 went back to Germany and married Anna Maria Hubner. During this return to Pfungstadt he must have done an outstanding selling job on the advantages of life in the New World for shortly thereafter he was followed to America by his brothers, sisters, and cousins. His second arrival in America was made on the ship “Friendship” out of Rotterdam and which arrived at the Port of Philadelphia on 16 Oct 1727. He passed away in 1755. [1]
