Marriage

Husband: Edmund* Perry[citation needed]
Wife: Sarah Betts
Date: BEF 1635

From Miner Descent "Edmund Perry"

Sarah Betts was born about 1592 in Devonshire, England. Many sources say her maiden name was Crowell, she was born in London and her parents were John Crowell and Elishua Miller. I don’t think so because John and Elishua were the parents of Sarah’s daughter-in-law Elizabeth, her son Arthur’s wife. I am beginning to think that Sarah’s maiden name is really lost to history (See the discussion under her son Arthur Perry and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Crowell) She is mentioned as being a Quaker. Sarah died 07 Jun 1659 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Mass.

An Inventory of Sarah Perry’s Estate (NOTE: On June 7, 1659, Ezra Perry was allowed by the court to be Executor of the estate of Sarah Perry. This inventory was taken the day after. Betts-857 and Crowell-523 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, birth surname is Betts, be sure to include the Bio from Betts-857 in the merge !
Research away (I've wasted enough time on this family). Hope you have better luck than I did. Actually I think the other date is just plain wrong. The bio for the other one says before 1635, which is correct, because supposedly all those children were born before the alleged immigration in 1637 or 1639.

Crowell-523 and Betts-857 are not ready to be merged because: The marriage date per wikitree # 857 shows 1614 while the marriage date per wikitree # 523 shows 1635. Looks like we are talking about two different generations. I think more research work needs to be done before we merge these two profiles.

Crowell-523 and Betts-857 appear to represent the same person because: These are both the alleged wife of Edmund Perry. Betts seems to be the correct Last Name as of right now. The only thing we really know is that she died in 1659 and was probably relted to Ezra Perry somehow, but not her son. Merge into Betts

See biography and https://minerdescent.com/2010/06/21/edmund-perry/. Her maiden name was most likely Betts.
