A. W. Cummings was a minister of the Gospel, associated with the Methodist Church.
Son of William Cummings and Sarah Elizabeth Foster
He married Alice F Stone 2 September 1897. They were the parents of four children: Madge (1899-1969); Ralph Stewart (1901-1986); Ruth (1906-1958); and Esther (1907-1973).
He died 15 January 1927 in Los Angeles.[1] His remains were buried at the Grand View Memorial Park and Crematory in Glendale.[2]
"Word has been received of the death in Los Angeles of Rev. A. W> Cummings, formerly pastor of Grace Methodist church, Riverside. Funeral service will be held at the Garvanza Methodist church, Los Angeles, at 1 p.m., Saturday, and interment will be at Burbank. Rev. Mr. Cummings will be remembered by a great many Riversiders, having occupied the grace church pulpit from 1918 to 1921 and been active in community projects of various kinds."
