Caleb Curtice was born at Salem, Massachusetts Bay, on 24 September 1646 (24 7th month 1646 Julian Calendar).[1]; he was a son of Richard Curtice and Sara (Carwithy) Curtice. By 1663, the family removed southward to Southold, on Long Island[2], where he married Elisabeth Ryder on the first day of December, 1670[3]; he later removed again to the Connecticut shore.
The children of Caleb and Elisabeth Ryder, born in Southold between 1673 and 1689, were:[4]

Caleb "aged 84" when he died on March 18, 1730 in Southold.[7]
Caleb Curtis was a planter of the New Haven Colony in June, 1639.[8]
