Honorius was born in 1867. He is the son of Narcisse Daigneault and Domitilde Perras.
"J. Honorius was a graduate of St. Boniface College and University of Manitoba, winner of four scholarships. He taught school in Langvale and Dunrea, Manitoba, where he opened the first post office and store. Then he moved back to Winnipeg and from there to Stony Mountain, where he became a bilingual guard. He became professor to the inmates, choir leader and store-keeper of the infirmary. Later he was appointed private secretary treasurer to the Warden, Lr. Colonel Irvine; he served there for 17 years. The next move was to Fannystelle in 1919 where he opened a general store which burnt down a few months later. The position of General Secretary to the Association of Education des Canadiens Français was offered to him; he accepted and held that position for 22 years, at which time he retired."[1]
