DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

I support this merger, but it should merge Dalton-7555 into Dalton-1574. This profile has a couple problems that should not merge. The profile conflates William Dalton and Isham Dalton. The latter is the father of Jesse Dalton, but currently has no profile page. Hopefully someone will create that page. Isham lived most of his adult life in Caswell County NC where Jesse was born and never is recorded to my knowledge in Montgomery/Wythe/Grayson Counties. Nor have I ever found the middle name Isham associated with William. James S. Dalton also is not a s/o William, but that can be dealt with after the merger.

Dalton-7555 and Dalton-1574 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same wife, same death date

Addition of Nancy is OK with me.
Grandchildren William Largen & Elijah Largen are floating disconnected. Any objections to adding Nancy Sarah (Largen) 1775 - 1860 as per Find A Grave: Memorial #42295977/nancy-sarah-dalton to connect these brothers?

Dalton-2038 and Dalton-1574 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth place, approx birth date, parents and wife, death date - all matches
