Monetta left UT and moved to Los Angeles CA in 1914 with her son Vernon Gibbs who was 14 years old at the time. They went to live with her older son Grover.
When Monetta died in 1932, she was cremated and her ashes were scattered in the trees in Grover's expansive back yard in the Bel Air area.
