Charity (Danford) Pittman was born about 1700 in Monmouth, New Jersey, daughter of Samuel Danford (about 1683–about 1745) and Alice Bingham (about 1683–about 1780).

Charity died on 10 Oct 1745 in Fulton, Bedford County, Province of Pennsylvania, aged about 44.

Charity married Richard Pittman III (born about 1695 in New Jersey; son of Richard Pittman and Anna (Kimble) Pittman) in 1717 in Burlington County, New Jersey. Their known children were:
