Biography

DEATH: WILL OF WILLIAM DANIEL - LOUDOUN CO., VA - BK F I William Daniel of County of Loudoun and commonwealth of Virginia do make and ordain my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit: First I will and desire that all my just debts and funeral charges be first paid and satisfied. I give my loving wife Esther Daniel my plantation where on I now live together with my horses, cattle, and all my stock on said plantation, during her natural life or as long as she remains my widow, and at her decease or marriage to be sold and divided equally among my children, share and share alike, to wit: James Daniel, Sarah Lewis, William Daniel, Jane Cadwallader, Esther Richards, Martha Rhodes, Joseph Daniel, Benjamin Daniel, Rachel Sinclair, and Samuel Daniel, except to as to my son William Daniel, whom I will and desire should have two shares. I also give my said loving wife all household furniture. I give to my daughter Mary Dillon the sum of fifty shillings. I give to my son James Daniel that tract of land I purchased of Joseph Rhodes situated in Bedford County, Virginialying on the waters of Broad Branch containing one hundred more or less. I give to my granddaughter Alice Smith the sum of five pounds paid her by my executors herein after named, at the distribution of my estate as before mentioned or sooner if

DEATH: my executors find it convenient or necessary. And lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my loving wife Esther Daniel, my sons Joseph Daniel, Benjamin Daniel, and Samuel Daniel to be my executors of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby revoke disavowal and utterly make void and utterly make void all former wills by me made. Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of the eighth month in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine.
