Occupation: 14 April 1930, Brickmaker for Steam Railroad [4]
"By occupation Lindsay was a Boilermaker for the C & O Railroad and also served as a minister for the Church of God for many years. I remember him as a man of medium height with a complexion as brown as a berry and twinkling blue eyes. His hair was white, thick and straight. He was a storehouse of colorful tall tales about the family...there were four sets of twins born to Lindsay and Nancy. Two sets died young." [5]
All of his children were by his first wife, Nancy Rayburn, who he married in 1915. Lindsay married second Martha Ellen Pennington, July 1962 in Boyd County, Kentucky.

FIVE-HOUR BATTLE IN GREENUP PROBED Special to The Courier-Journal. Greenup, Ky. April 18. Lindsey Daniels and his brother. Sam. were at liberty today on bonds of $500 each, under charges of shooting at without wounding, while Greenup County officers investigated a five-hour shooting affray at the Daniels' home six miles southeast of this city. Prior to his arrest on a warrant sworn to by Charles Stevens, a resident of the same section. Lindsey Daniels reported to Sheriff George Crisp that his home and his wife's store were under fire for five hours during the night. He said seventy- five shots were fired from shoguns, pistols and rifles. Daniels attributed the seige to revenge or an attempt to intimidate him because he recently gave information which led to arrests for alleged manufacturing of liquor.
