Biography

When Virginia Jane 'Jincy' Darbey was born in 1820 in Georgia, her father, Charles, was 25, and her mother, Nancy, was 20. She married John Collett on December 6, 1836, in Forsyth, Georgia.[1] They had ten children:

  • Eveline Caroline (1836–1915)
  • Enoch N (1837–1910)
  • Elsey Washington (1841–1862)
  • Parnesia (1844–)
  • Archer Burton (1844–1931)
  • Harriett Mary (1848–1929)[2]
  • Sarah (1854–)
  • John Jr(1855–)
  • Martha Adaline (1860–1942)
  • Jesse Padgett (1862–1945)

She died on August 23, 1878, in Forsyth, Georgia, at the age of 58.[3]
