She was the daughter of Jérôme Darois and Marie Gareau. She was born 19 May 1709 and baptized 30 May 1709 at Saint Charles des Mines. Her godparents were Antoine Landry and Jeanne Commeaux. [1][2]
At the time of daughter Marie Rose's marriage, the couple was living in Grand Anse, Isle Saint Jean.[3]
The couple was recorded with six children in the 1752 La Roque census at Anse du Nord-Ouest where they had settled two years earlier. Jean-Baptiste, in the census, was described as being always ill and poor.[4]
Marie Josephe died in February 1753 and was buried on Feb 22, 1753, wife of Baptiste Godet.[5][6]
