On February 5, 1898, in Dent County, Missouri, at the age of 26, Mary married Otto Breatono Becker, son of John William Becker and Margaret (Warner) Becker.
Otto worked in a lead mine, in Cherry Valley, Crawford County, Missouri. He and his brother were killed the same day, on April 2, 1908. Mary had five children under the age of ten, the youngest only two. (See Otto's profile for their names)
Mary married for a third time to Andrew Jackson Bowers. Mary and Andrew had three children, including:
