Moved from Renmark to Port Lincoln for a period but returned to Renmark in 1913. Later involved in real estate in Adelaide. Involved in a big way in pastoral sheep stations at Millers creek, Edenhope and Doolgunna station in WA (near Meekatharra).

Britt and Gertie had 8 children.

His main occupation was a Horticulturist/Grazier.

He died on 4 Jun 1961at Monreith Hospital, Toorak Gardens, in Adelaide, South Australia, and was buried at North Rd Cemetery, Nailsworth, South Australia on 05 JUN 1961.
