DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:
I do not believe that the husband of Sarah (Van Meter) Davis had the middle name of DeMitt. Her husband was just plain James Davis who was son of William Davis born 1675 in Northern Ireland. The name DeMitt is not connected to this Davis group. In some way these two James Davis have been merged showin that she had a second marriage. Sarah and her husband lived in Frederick County, VA where James died 1756 and Sarah was involved in the settlement of his estate.
