DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Robert by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Robert:

Davis-8172 and Davis-11874 seem to be for the same couple Robert and Dinah (Harlan) Davis. However, other information does not match. I believe that a James Davis came into Delaware ca 1683 and brought three sons. William, John and James. I believe that William and John married in New Castle County, Delaware. Is it possible that James Davis Sr. is the third son and that he settled in Pilesgrove, New Jersey. William b 1675 had seven sons and I feel that his Robert is the one who married Dinah Harlan. I have entered legal records and Will information on that site - Davis-8172. Will and estate records seem to connect this Robert as being one of those seven sons.
