John Isaac Davis completed his WWI Draft Card 5 June 1917 while living in Prairie County, Arkansas. He was 25 years of age, Natural born in Des Arc, Prairie County, Arkansas. His occupation was farmer, sharecropping for Henry Bethell. He had a wife and two children. He also had a stiff left foot caused by _____ above the great toe.[3]
Arkansas Death Certificates have been searched on Ancestry and one wasn't located for John Isaac Davis.
According to the Woodmen of the World Marker at Whippoorwill Cemetery
Des Arc, Prairie County, Arkansas, he died August 23, 1919. The birthdate on the marker matches the birth date on his WWI Draft Application.[4]
