Biography

Cecil Hugh "Ace" C.[1] Dawkins Jr.[2] was born 11 Nov[1] 1919 to E. D. Dawkins and O. Virginia Clifton[1][3][4]

He first married Miss Rebecca Guice daughter of Malcolm D. and Olene Guice, on 16 Nov 1946 in Biloxi,[5][3] Harrison County, Mississippi.[3] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Michael Stuart Dawkins was born about 1946.[6][7]

He then married Miss Christine Little, daughter of E. L. Little and Mildred Crosby, on 30 Apr 1947 in Hancock County, Mississippi.[1]

On 16 Dec 1948 he married Annette Bain, daughter of W. C. and Elliot Katheryn Bain, in Jones County, Mississippi.[4]

Cecil served in the military during WWII and was a Lieutentant stationed in Germany.[8] He was the son of Ola Clifton.[9]

Cecil is buried in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Pearl, Rankin County, MS.

Dawkins, who is reported missing in action, and listed his parents as Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brown, Route 6, Hattiesburg. Lt. Dawkin's mother, as the item should have read, is Mrs. Ola Clifton Dawkins Brown, who also resides on Route 6, Hattiesburg.
