Martin, along with his brothers James and Barnett, and sisters Sally, Peggy and Rachel are mentioned in Barnett Dewitt's will, probated Jan. 8, 1799 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. Barnett's wife Deborah is named as executor.
Some places on the internet list Peter Dewitt as the father of Martin. I have found zero evidence that confirms Peter had a son named Martin, although he may have been Martin's uncle.
Martin married Huldah Burgett on Feb. 6, 1814 in Pickaway county, OH. His sister Peggy married Joseph Morris in the same county, on Sept. 10, 1811.
