Willoughby was born in 1790. This date has been derived from census records in 1850 and 1860 for Willis Deal and is based on the presumption they were the same person because the wife's name was Rebecca. [1][2].
A Williby Deal was also found on the 1806 Personal Property Tax List for Patrick County, VA. Listed adjoining him were Thomas and David Deal. Included on the same page were: William Deal, dec'd, John Deal and Samuel Deal. (see image attached) Listed on the previous page was James Deal Jr (or it could be SR but looks like Jr to me).
Willoby Deal married Rebecca Luster on 21 March 1820 in Floyd County, Kentucky [3]. The marriage bond was dated 8 Oct 1817 in Floyd County, Kentucky and was made for the marriage of Williughby Deal to Rebeekah Luster. Bondsman was Cader Powell [4][5].
In 1855, Willis and Rebecca Deel sold 30 acres of land on Slate Creek of Levisa Fork to William Bradshaw Thomas Mullins (abt.1813-1864) of Tazewell County for $230 dollars. [6]. William's wife Judah was the sister of David Osborne, husband of Willis and Rebecca's daughter Elizabeth Deel.
In 1860, Rebecca and Willoughby resided in Wyoming County, Virginia in the household of their daughter Mary "Polly" Deel, her husband Washington Blankenship, and their children Isom (7), George (5), and William (7) [2]:
Washington Blankers, M 26
Mary Blankers, F 24
Isom Blankers, M 7
George Blankers, M 5
William R Blankers, M 1
Willis Deal, M 70
Rebecca Deal, F 59
He passed away after 1860.
