Horace Decker, 84, of Leitchfield died on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born on May 20, 1917 in Grayson County as the son of the late Bob and Lucy Cook Decker. He was a farmer and a member of the Anneta Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Velzie, Lee and Nathan and one son, Troy Wayne Decker. He is survived by his wife, Gracie Meredith Decker of Leitchfield; five sons, Sherman, Everett, and Randall Decker all of Leitchfield, Kenneth Decker of Bee Spring and Roy Decker of St. Paul; six daughters, Cosetta Gibson and Lorene Smith both of Bee Spring, Loretta Woodcock, Rerita Tomes, Oma Decker, and Joyce Decker all of Leitchfield; one step-brother, Clyde Whobrey of Louisville; two step-sisters, Addie Jackson of Lancaster, KY and Quincy Miller of Leitchfield; thirty three grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Anneta Baptist Church with Watson and Hunt Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
Burial was in the Anneta Cemetery.
