Jean Paul Decuire, son of Jean Decuire and Genevieve Mayeux, was born on 25 January 1757, and was baptized 20 February 1757 at the Pointe Coupee church in Louisiana, New France.[1]
He married Marie Jeanne Legue, daughter of Rene Legue and Catherine Olivio, on 2 October 1780 at Pointe Coupee. Witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Lorrain and Hollais Dubourg.[2]
