Jacob was born in 1800. He was the son of David Teeter and Elizabeth Stutzman. He passed away in 1865. Ten children: "Mary, Samuel Reed, Malinda, Frederick, David, Jacob, Isaac, Sarah Anne, Elizabeth and Christina" (Eller 1981, p 15).
"Jacob [son of David Deeter] was a farmer by occupation, and made his first location from home on Sec. 17. Newton Township, where he passed the remainder of his life, his death occurring Nov. 22, 1865, and that of his devoted wife [Elizabeth (Reed) Deeter] a few years later; of his family of five sons and five daughters, all grew up to maturity but one; seven still survive." (History of Miami Co. 1880, p 764.)
