Susannah, daughter of John Deeter and Susanna Ulrich, was born in 1772, probably on her grandfather John Teeter's homestead straddling the PA-MD border. Around 1785 her family relocated to Morrison's Cove, Bedford Co PA. Susannah's father John Deeter died in 1790, and about 1791 she married fellow Dunker Joseph Rench (Jr); they had eight children. They relocated about 1812 to Newton Twp, Miami Co OH, none of their children yet married. Joseph died 1815, a victim of milk-sickness, and Susannah died the next year. Joseph (III) evidently took primary resposibility for raising his minor siblings, and was appointed guardian of the two youngest, Daniel and Samuel, 30 Aug 1819. (Honeyman & McDaniel 1998, p 35)
Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Miami County, Ohio, USA. Plot: Row 28 - Old Section. Memorial ID 12198130.
