Catherine (de Lameter) Roosa is the descendant of a Huguenot emigrant.
Catharina was born on 17 August 1741 in Kingston, Ulster, New York [1] and baptized on 23 August 1741, with the baptism recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York. She was recorded as Catharina, the child of Abraham de Lameter and Rachel Louw; the baptism witnesses were Jacobus de Lameter and Catharina Schoonmaker.[2]
Catherine de Lametter and Isaak Roosa, both of Ulster County, were married on 10 November 1764 in Ulster County, New York. Their marriage was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York. Neither had been married before.[3]
