Biography

This Daniel Denison, born 13 Oct 1693 at Saybrook, Connecticut, was the second child of Anne Mason and John Denison.

He was baptized on 26 Nov 1693 at Stonington, Connecticut.

He married on 7 Nov 1722 @ Lebanon, Connecticut, Mehitable Foster [born in Topsfield, Massachusetts on 16 Oct 1701, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Dresser) Foster]. Their children were:

1. Daniel Denison, b c1729
2. Hepzibah Denison, b. c1730; m. Nathaniel Pratt [son of Robert Pratt & Phebe Shailer]
3. Ebenezer Denison, b c1731, d May 1821, married Lydia Williams.
4. Ann Denison, b c1735, married Samuel Pratt.
5. Abigail Denison, b c1737, died 20 July 1830, married Asa Pratt.
6. Phebe Denison, probably married Westbrook 30 May 1774 Phinehas Ely.
7. Keturah Denison, died unmarried 1758.

Daniel Denison died at Saybrook, probably in 1756. The exact date of his death is not evident, however the following passage from the Denison Genealogy (1963) provides insight:

"His will dated 9 May 1756, proved 14 July 1761, names his wife Mehitable, son Daniel, Ebenezer, Ann Pratt, Hepzibah Pratt, Anne, Abigail, Phebe and Keturah."^[1]
