Biography

Mary Denham was born about 1740 possibly in Wales, before her father, Hugh Denham arrived in America. Her mother is NOT yet Known, yet, some have put her name as Elizabeth Lusk, even know there are no sources that prove this as yet. We know Mary and her husband, Stephen Clayton by her father's will, Will of Hugh Dennum, dated May 1787 Surry County, NC, Will Book 2, page 94, These are mentioned:
