DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Deuchar-15 and Deuchar-27 do not represent the same person because: Grandfather and grandson
posted by Darren Kellett
Deuchar-56 and Deuchar-27 appear to represent the same person because: Deuchar-56 was my import (estimated birthdate of 1707) for the husband of Jannet Rickard and father of David. I think I did not originally say they were the same because Deuchar-27 was shown as married to his grandson's wife Jean Brewhouse. I've now corrected that.

Deuchar-15 is the grandson of Deuchar-27, so not the same person. I've removed Deuchar-27's erroneous link to Deuchar-15's wife.
