Ruth Elaine Dewey

DEWEY, Ruth Elaine 37 years old, died July 17, 1998 from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born November 4, 1960 in Metaline Falls, Washington. She graduated high school in mid west Wyoming in 1979 and attended Casper College for two years. She attended Eugene Bible College and graduated with a degree in Christian Education. She taught kindergarten in Anchorage, Alaska for five years. She returned to Black Hills State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Her hobbies included reading, photography and crocheting. She is survived by her parents, Velmer and Lois Dewey of Drain; her brother Mike and his wife, Heather, of Drain; a sister, Jan of Eugene; her maternal grandmother, Vivian Brooks of Spokane, Washington; paternal grandmother, Stella Dewey, of Ione, Washington; three nieces, Bambi, Heather Megan and Audrey, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held in Ione, Washington, Friday, July 25th with a memorial service to be held in Drain, Oregon on August 1st at 10 a.m.
