Biography
Charles was born about 1833. He is the son of Zelotus Dewey and Mehitable Roberts.
He married in 1857 Jane Rudd (1832-1909). Their children are:
- Aldis M. Dewey abt,1863 - 1892 (died 29 yrs)
- Zetta Dewey 1858-1926; m. John C. Davis
- Cora E. Harvey 1865-1953 (may be error at Find a Grave)
- Ida M. Dewey 1869-1939 m. Frank Donnafield

From the Utica Herald-Dispatch, Wednesday Evening, March 18, 1908
"Charles M. Dewey, a highly respected citizen, died at his home Thursday, March 12, at the age of 75 years. The funeral services were held from his late residence on Monday. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. William Harvey, Mrs. John Davis and Mrs. Frank Donnafield, all of this place. Interment was made at North Gage Cemetery."
