Hi Casandra, a quick question. My ancestor is Elizabeth Dickey (Dickey-2094). I do not think she is the child of Elizabeth Droke, because of the marriage record of Ephraim Dickey (Dickey-404) and Elizabeth Gill (Gill-5042). I believe she is the daughter of Elizabeth Gill. Until this has been resolved and proven any further research on the wife of Ephraim is a brick wall. The only Elizabeth Droke I can find was born in 1830. Do you know if there’s been any progress on this discrepancy?

Thank you, Karen

You imported a GED file, which created the entry for Thomas Donnell that is now at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Donnell-461. That entry says, "(the 1st in family to go to N.Carolina; religious reasons see Pg60 of green Donnell Book". That information falls in line with Donnell family stories I have heard. What is this "green Donnell Book", and where might I be able to find one to research further?

You appear to have a DNA match with my husband's mother! Would you like to look into this further? I am currently collecting data on this family line, and would be glad to share my work with you.

Cassandra has entries for the children of John Rice 1728 to 1796 that simply do not make any sense--eg William 1743 to 1831 John Rice would have been 15 years old when William was born.

Frances 1745--John would have been 17 when she was born. Since there are no sources given except Ancestry.com I think the information given is highly suspect.

I am new to genealogy. I would like to contribute what I have to help create new connections and grow my family tree. Thank you.
I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
