Biography
Benoi Dickinson was born in Northfield, Massachusetts, on December 11, 1747, the son of Nathaniel and Martha Dickinson.[1]
He married Phebe Marsh in Hadley, Massachusetts, on February 23, 1774.[2]
Benoi Dickinson died in Northfield on July 17, 1839, "Æ 91 years & 8 mo." (Gravestone). He is buried in West Northfield Cemetery in Northfield.[3]

DAR Patriot Index. Born after his father's death, his name means in Hebrew "child of my sorrow." Benoni reportedly had a lifelong aversion to firearms and his role in the Revolution was as non-combatant. Children, all b Northfield MA.
