Biography

Henry Clay "Jim Henry" Dillon was born 7 JUNE 1809 • Franklin County, Virginia, United States of America and died 7 DECEMBER 1864 • Franklin County, Virginia, United States of America. He was born to Arthur Dillon 1777-1864 and Susannah Jane Ross 1779-1870.

"Jim Henry" married Margaret "Peggy" Brown 1809-1855 on December 03, 1827 in Franklin County Virginia, USA. They had the following children: John W, Mary Jane, Robert M, Phoebe, and Mary Jane.

His wife Margaret "Peggy" Brown died in 1955 leaving him with young children to raise. He then married on October 04, 1855 to Nancy Jane who raised his children by Margaret and they also had children of their own: Clara P Dillon who married a Fisher, Henry L. Goggin Dillon and Newton Dillon.

Though his grave marker states that he was a JR, I do not believe this to be true as his father was Arthur Dillon.
