Biography

Henry H. Dills, son of Henry Dills and Suzanne Stratton, was born on 14 January 1846 in Macon County, North Carolina. He passed away on 8 May 1919 in Cartoogechaye, Macon County, North Carolina[1] and is buried in Old Cartoogechaye Baptist Church Cemetery, Macon County.[2]

Marriage

Henry married first Margaret E. Carpenter on 19 Mar 1865 in Macon County, North Carolina.[3][4] Although her death date has not been located, Margaret apparently died before 1870. On that year's census, Henry is living with his sister, Lourena, and her husband, Eli Patton.

Henry married second Henrietta H. Nichols on 4 January 1871 in Macon County, North Carolina.
