Birth date estimated based on age 20 at the time of her marriage 1792 or 1794.

Either there were two Rhoda's or she was possibly married twice. There is a marriage record for her to William Slone in Franklin County, Virginia 26 July 1792 with Thomas Slone as surety.^[1] However deeds over the division of the Hartman Doran estate indicate her husband was John Pate. There is a Franklin County, Virginia marriage record Dec 2, 1794 for Rhoda Doran to John Pate and John Doran was surety.^[2]

She probably died before 1830 when a newspaper ad listed her children as heirs of Hartman Doran who was Rhoda's father. If she had been alive she would have been listed. Her children named in the Hartman Doran estate records were: Eusabia Pate; Anthony Pate; John Pate Jr; Jinney Pate; and Aggy Pate.
