Biography

Benjamin Huntley, Sr. was born on March 3, 1741 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut. He is the son of Samuel Huntley and Ruth Huntley. Benjamin dies after 1806 in Ontario, Canada.

Benjamin Huntley marries first to Bethiah Duran (Doran) in about 1763 at Manchester, Bennington, Vermont. Bethiah dies prior to 1789 in Vermont.

Children of Benjamin Huntley Sr. and Bethiah Doran are:

1. Duran Huntley was born on August 4, 1764 at Lyme, New London, Connecticut.

2. Lovina Huntley was born on June 5, 1766 at Lyme, New London, Connecticut. Lovina dies on January 16, 1839, New Lyme, Ohio. She marries on April 19, 1789 to Dan Peck, son of Silas and Elizabeth Peck.

3. Benjamin Huntley was born in about 1779, Manchester, Bennington, Vermont. He dies on April 19, 1855 at Attica, Lapeer, Michigan.

4. Enoch Huntley was born in about 1781 at Manchester, Bennington Vermont. He dies March 25, 1854.

5. Elijah Huntley was born in about 1783 at Manchester, Bennington, Vermont.

Research Notes

  • Moses Pangman, who died in 1801 left a will mentioning his true siblings, and his half-sister, Lovinia, wife of Dan Peck, and half-brother, David (transcribed as David).[1][2]
