Biography

John George was born in 1779. He was an "illegitimate child of Margaret Daree & George". It seems likely this is her future husband John George Robar, but not for sure.[1]

George Darey married Mary Christina Tanner on April 12, 1803. The following 8 children are attributed to them in the parish registers;[2]

  • Susanna Barbara - 1808-04-01
  • Cath Elizabeth - 1809-11-29
  • Sarah - 1811-08-21
  • George Joseph - 1816-04-19
  • Michael - 1818-06-29
  • John - 1822-02-22
  • Benjamin - 1825-09-07
  • William Reuben - 1832-03-18

There is also a child attributed to a George Darey and wife "Mary Cath" which may be Mary Christina and it was mis-transcribed.

  • Jacob - 1806-07-13

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Hey Jamie and Alice,

I have been working the Montbéliard families and found that the mother of this profile was misattributed to a sister who died young. Have her found and connected the correct family member. Thanks Mags

Daree-1 and Dorey-118 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, parents and spouse

Dorey-118 and Daree-1 are not ready to be merged because: Needs researched. Why doesnt he have same last name as father?
