Constance Dorney was born in 1908 in Warrnambool, the second surviving daughter of Edward Dorney and Nellie Mills.
Very little is known about Constance. The Warrnambool Standard ran an article on 10 March 1924 with the title “Connie Dorney Fingers Crushed”.
Constance married Thomas Dynon in 1928. They had four children together, a daughter Ninon, and three sons, William, Patrick and John.
Constance and her husband were living at 30 Geddes Street, Ascot Vale in 1930. Thomas was a jockey and this location was close to Flemington Racecourse. Her aunt Mary Jane was later recorded at this address in 1942.
Constance died on 17 May 1938 at St Helen's Hospital in Essendon. She was just 28 years old. Following her death her husband looked after their sons but Ninon was sent to live with Constance’s sister, Gwen.
